The Space : Above and Beyond
By Sam Seal
(Based on the characters of the series 'Space: Above and Beyond', created by Morgan and Wong.)
A variation on the Monopoly(TM) board game for up to 6 players
Christmas Comet Allies (of your choice)
THE AIM OF THE GAME
Fight to the death - your Prize is the Universe!
Money = Personnel. Each player starts the Game with 1,000 personnel.
Outgoing money = Casualties
Incoming money = Recruits
HOW TO PLAY
Travel clockwise around Space (the board) collecting Planets (property cards).
Each time another player lands on your Planet it costs them the number of casualties displayed on the card.
Each complete set equals 1 Star System. When you control an entire System you charge other players the relative 'people-points' displayed on the card.
The more Colonies (houses/hotels) you build, the more resistence the invaders will face - therefore the higher their losses. On the other hand, building Colonies in Space can cost a fortune in manpower - look at Tellus and Vesta . . .
